NSCDC parades 6 for rape and kidnap cases in Nasarawa

The Nasarawa State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Cops (NSCDC), has arrested and paraded four suspected serial rapists and two kidnappers apprehended in different parts of the state.

Parading the suspects at the command headquarters in Lafia, the state capital, Assistant Superintendent of Corp, Mohammed Surajo, said the suspects were arrested at Loko by men on patrol after receiving a distressed call.

Surajo explained that the four serial rapists, Abubakar Mohammed, 28, Musa Ibrahim, 23, Umar Adamu, 25 and Rabilu Musa, 23 lured five minors between the ages of 3,5, 7 and 8 years with money and biscuits and thereafter had carnal knowledge with them at different times.

Surajo gave the names of the minors to include; Mariam Maitalata, 8, Fatima Maitalata 7, Safiya Abdullahi 5, Walida Maitalata 7 and Mariam Salihu 3 years respectively.

Surajo who is the deputy Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Command, explained further that the two kidnap suspects were arrested at a location in Nasarawa Eggon.
According to him the suspects, Hamza Alhaji and Abubakar Rago, ambushed a petrol dealer, Veronica Aguje at the entrance of her house in Nasarswa Eggon in the night and swoop on the victim when she was about to enter the compound.

He said that the suspects have already confessed to have committed the crime and would be charged to court to face the wrath of the law.

In an interview, one of the suspected rapist, Rabilu Musa who admitted committing the act, attributed his action to the lust of the flesh.

On his part, Abubakar Mohammed who was also paraded for rape issue, denied the allegation, saying that he does not know anything about the allegation levelled against him.
