HYPPADEC reiterates commitment to equip youth of six HYPPADEC States with skills to be self-reliant……set to train 5,000 youth..

The Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (HYPPADEC) has reiterated its Commitment to equip Youth in the six HYPPADEC states with skills to make them self-reliant and employers of labour in their communities.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive of HYPPADEC, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa stated this in a statement signed by the Head of Media, Nura Tanko Wakili and made available to Newsmen in Minna
Against this backdrop, Yelwa said arrangements have been concluded on the Grand Flag-off of the Commission’s Youth Transformation Programme for about 5,000 beneficiaries fixed for Thursday, 17th March, 2022 in Minna.
The statement stated that the 5000 Youth were drawn from HYPPADEC communities of the Six HYPPADEC States would be trained in different enterprises
” We are committed to providing skills acquisition training to the Youths in HPPADEC communities, aimed at making them self-reliant and employers of Labour.
” The training is designed to enable the beneficiaries to acquire skills and become self-reliant, as well as contribute their quota to national development,” the HYPPADEC explained.
The statement further revealed that Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State will serve as the Chairman of the occasion while Boss Gida Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) is expected to be the Special Guest of Honour.
It added that the Ministers of Justice, Abubakar Malami, Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, as well as Ministers of State Labour and Employment and Foreign Affairs, Festus Keyamo and Zubairu Dada will be the Guests of Honour.
The commission further stated,” the Etsu Nupe and Chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers Alhaji (Dr.) Yahaya Abubakar is to be the Royal Father of the Day at the occasion while the Managing Director and Chief Executive of HYPPADEC will be the Host”.
