NSCDC arrests two for girl molestation in Nasarawa.

    The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp, Nasarawa State Command has arrested one Usman Baba and his friend Abdullahi Umar for attempted molestation of a 18 Years old girl, Aisha Muhammed.

    State Commandant of the Corp, Abbas Bappa, disclosed this through the Command Public Relations Officer, ASC Jerry Victor when the suspects were paraded before Newsmen in Lafia, the State Capital.

    According to the NSCDC, the suspects committed the offence last Week at an uncompleted building behind the State Deputy Governor’s Office along Shendam road, Lafia.

    The Commandant who explained that preliminary investigation revealed that Usman Baba 38 Years old was into a relationship with the victim for five Years prior to the incident, adding that the victim later changed her mind to proposed another man for marriage which does not go down well with Usman Baba.

    According to him while the lady, Aisha was preparing to tire the nut in May this Year, she was still going to Usman Baba.

     He said it was during one of her visits to the suspect that he connived with his friend, Abdullahi Umar 23 Years old and lured the victim to an uncompleted building after using undisclosed substance on her.

     According to him, the young men undressed her, took video shot of her neckedness and threatened to post the video clip to Facebook with the intention of destroying her image.

    He said the victim parents have already hired a Lawyer to handle the case, adding that it is the Court that will decide the faith of the suspects.

    In an interview, the main suspect, Usman Baba who admitted photographing the neckedness of the victim, said he did that to put fear in her so that she would refund some money she collected from him.

    He however, denied that he never thought of posting the video clip to Facebook.

    On her part, the victim who confessed to have been in a relationship with Usman Baba for five Years, said she decided to marry someone else due to the unfavourable behaviour of the suspect.

    Meanwhile, the Command has apprehended three suspected vandals of railway equipment, including a J5 driver conveying several numbers of rails.

    They were arrested at different locations in the State.

    According to the spokesman of the Command, ASC Jerry Victor, some persons who were also involved in vandalization of railway equipment are on the run after abandoning the items, assuring that the command will do everything possible to get them and make them to face the wroth of the Law.

    The Command Public Relations Office who noted that investigation on the various cases of vandalization are ongoing, said on conclusion the arrested persons will be dragged to the Court to face the Law.

    He called on Youths who do indulge in criminal activities in the State to desist and live a better life
