As far as Nigerian entertainment industry is concerned, initiator of new musical innovations usually go through hell in their journey to stardom but the end result often worthwhile.
It’s no doubt that Evangelist David Adisa Abiola aka c-caution is a proud founder and maestro of Gospel-Fuji music genre in Nigeria. The Ogun State, Abeokuta is indeed a blessed whose wealth of talents could not be terrestrially attached but celestial.
The 2019 winner of the Oba Orin competitive concert, C-Caution took himself out of shell by infusing Fuji lyrics/tunes and instrumentals into gospel genre.
Ordinary layman would quickly convince that this Saheed Osupa sing-alike act is singing Fuji music with mind aspiring gospel messages. It’s no doubt that C-Caution, if all necessary support is given to his musical career will win more souls for Christ even beyond people’s imagination as his music is hundred percent Fuji and hitherto hundred percent gospel; little wonder he’s being referred to as “Fuji Gospeler.
An encounter with this gospel/Fuji brainbox, is a revelation of his dexterity in music, according to him, “I started singing at early age of ten; my dad is one of the biggest fans of Fuji music while we were growing up. We were so used to some Fuji tunes but the ones he normally played most were King Dr. Saheed Osupa and Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma aka Oga Nla 1 songs.
“ Though I was born as Muslim but eventually found faith in Christ and become born again in 2015, that informed why I changed my style of music from traditional Fuji style to Fuji Gospel.”
Stressing further, C-Caution maintained that he has produced three albums titled Wake-up Nigeria, Fuji plus Gospel, and Fuji Gospeltainment that are set to hit market shelve soon.
The Igi Ajara’s crooner, Said, he’s presently under no label as far as Nigeria is concerned but he has international promoter that’s OLANTECH promotion based in USA.
In his words, “Olantech global promotion USA is the only international promoter that we have at hand right now; the C.E.O of Olantech global promotion Anthony Olaoye called me all the way from USA, I was shocked because I couldn’t believe God could be so wonderful and since then we’ve been having a tremendous progress in the area of promotions and other packages that involved financially supports,” he submits.
