Ā  Ā  Ā Ā There was a mild drama at the sitting of theĀ  three-man panel adjudicatingĀ  on theĀ  grievancesĀ  arising from the Ogun Local GovernmentĀ  Election as the ChairmanĀ  of the tribunalĀ  Rotimi Onafadeji bars journalistsĀ  from covering the proceedingsĀ  of the Tribunal.Ā  Ā  Ā 

Onafedeji, priorĀ  to the commencementĀ  of theĀ  proceedings,Ā  informed newsmen that had gatheredĀ  at the Magistrate Court venue of the sittingĀ  ,Ā  Ā thatĀ  recordingĀ  or coveringĀ  of the proceedingsĀ  in any form is not allowed.Ā Ā  Ā  Ā SubsequentlyĀ  ,newsmenĀ  that had converged on the venue of the sittingĀ  were bared from performingĀ  theirĀ  duty.”

In his words ” Please , all pressmen that are here , there is no cameraĀ  recording,Ā  phone,Ā  audio recording.Ā  ThankĀ  you.Ā  Ā  Ā Recall that the Ogun State Local GovernmentĀ  election was held in AugustĀ  with the rulingĀ  partyĀ  in the state APCĀ  claiming victoryĀ  in all the 20 Local GovernmentĀ  Chairmanship positions.Ā Ā  Ā 

Though the major oppositionĀ  party in the state the PDP withdrew its participation from the local GovernmentĀ  ElectionĀ  citing bias on the part of the election umpire in the state for supportingĀ  a faction of the PDP.Ā  Ā 

Ā The oppositionĀ  in the state has been crying wolf since the resultsĀ  of the local governmentĀ  election wereĀ  released .Action AllianceĀ  ( AA) and New Nigeria People’s PartyĀ  hadĀ  sought the nullification of the result of the election calling it a charadeĀ
